Life as a full-time student is real busy. Not to mention work and all the other fun stuff as a non-traditional scholar (I am not out of high school or doing this for my parents or at all in early adulthood). Being a career academic is non-conventional, but that is really what keeps me going in this struggle. (School should not be a business or a means to make money, but should instead be to gather knowledge and bring a collective of intelligent minds together… If only, if only.)
web game project
I am in the progress of making a barebones, simple webgame. This will be, perhaps, adapted into a much bigger project. I really like tactical, turn-based games, and I really enjoy battletech and other older minis games. So, I really look forward to building an RPG that is multi-player, but not necessarily on a global/wide scale. I want to incorporate some of the graphics from smaller programs into this game. I might be expanding currently existing projects in order to generate graphics more effectively for the game. Procedural generation will play a role in this, for sure.
emacs config (again) uploaded to github
I uploaded my emacs config, again. I just moved everything to ~/.emacs.d and used .gitignore rather than have to manually update a separate repo. Trying to keep up my gitfoo. I might even run a git server here, for some stuff if projects get big enough and need to just be legitimized, personal hosted or whatever. new repo here
image board project
this might not be touched until Summer. I do want to do imageboard software, expanding on the textboard software I already wrote. Maybe I'll do it in a different language this time, who knows.
ongoing maintenance
I want to expand the site, and add to the databases and resources. It is a work in progress, and not necessarily a priority right now. I would love to add more games/board games to the database, as I've been playing cards more (poker, mainly).
might go crazy if i don't do more 8-bit music but will be awhile for that, would love to get some hardware for music too
speaks for itself. I don't know if this is going to be a reality anytime soon. Ambient tunes and stuff to relate to the game project seem more do-able.
